This is As Seen On TV - a newsletter all about the good, the bad and the ugly on television.
If you know me in real life, you already know I’m a woman bursting at the seams with endless opinions and critical analysis regarding the media I consume. I had minor stints writing for Gal-dem and Burnt Roti on the representation of Arab and Indian women in Western television, and my media publication regularly examines the impact pop culture is having on the state of human rights around the world.
I miss writing. For the past year or so, I’ve had a Notion page filled with notes, research and half-complete articles that have never seen the light of day. In all honesty, I don’t have it in me anymore to pitch news outlets, digital platforms or magazines. Maybe I’m getting old. Or maybe the universe is telling me that it’s time to pivot. Either way, I’d like to gently escort my writing out of the shadows.
Fellow TV-watchers, I encourage you to subscribe for silly little musings, recommendations and thoroughly researched critical breakdowns. There will be no commercial breaks, nor will I be charging you extra for ad-free viewing!
